Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (Straddle Hoists)

The Wise Industrial Straddle Hoist is designed and built to customers requirements.

The Wise Industrial Straddle Hoist will lift, transport and load a wide range of products. The machine can be supplied with various lifting arrangements and equipment for handling steel, large fabrications, concrete products and containers.

This is made possible by Wise Handlings unique feature of being able to offer purpose built frame designs incorporating standard componentry. Large heavy loads are easily handled and transported often far more economically than with traditional means. Ground loadings are reduced which can also reduce civil engineering cost. The ability of the machine to lift and travel combines the function of two separate and expensive mechanical handling products. Frame
Ruggedly constructed from fabricated hot rolled sections. All frame structure designed to BS 2573 Part 1 lass 2 and BS 1757. Power driven cranes.
(Note: - Dependant on application, design standards may be varied.)

Power
The power is provided by an Industrial Diesel/Hydraulic power pack generously sized to ensure adequate power. Exhaust purifiers are fitted to the Hoist for use inside factory premises.

Drive and Steering
High speed, high torque hydraulic motors provide the drive to each steer wheel. All motors are fitted with failsafe brakes.
90 Degree Ackerman steering is provided to each driven wheel.

Hoist and Lower
Hydraulic rams or hydraulic failsafe winches through wire ropes to final lift points.
Fixed lift points or cross beam traverse trolleys provide a flexible lifting facility.

Controls
All controls are located on the drivers stand which is positioned to give good overall vision. Power steering control, forward and reverse direction, lift and lower with speed selection are all that is required to drive the Straddle Hoist. Fully enclosed cabs with heaters and air conditioning can be provided as required.
